Kotlin Tutorial Workshop
The Kotlin programming language developed by JetBrains is now an officially-supported language for Android Development. This full-day Kotlin tutorial workshop aims to share with you the power and the beauty of the language.
Discover how to use Kotlin in your everyday work and feel more confident with the language. You’ll receive a basic overview of the language, as well as discussions of some corner cases, especially concerning Java interoperability. While the syntax is not compatible with Java, Kotlin is designed to interoperate with Java code to allow for a gradual migration from Java to Kotlin.
The workshop is based on your Java experience; it shows the similarities between the two languages and focuses on what is different.
In this workshop, you will cover:
- Basic syntax
- Object-oriented programming with Kotlin
- Functional programming with Kotlin
- Java interoperability
- Building DSLs
